The first look from Aik Jhalak on the impossibly radiant Hania Amir – Artisanal Anecdotes. The design features an entirely handworked front encrusted in naqshi, fine pearls and micro crystals against the prettiest shades of resham. Hot Pink borders flank the shirt and a gorgeous cutwork neckline lends the perfect amount of sheerness. The dupatta is hand printed and manually sewn with over a hundred yards of custom woven gota creating a criss cross pattern reminiscent of heirloom Chaddars. It’s finished with the prettiest leaf patterned gota borders. The azaar is also handprinted in gold foil and a striking, scalloped gota worked border closes it beautifully. If there ever was a labor of love, this would be it. Over two thousand hardworking men and women have worked for months on the ada to bring this collection to life.
